Dr. Bruck recently transitioned from a large group practice to a solo practice. Joy Allegan, practice manager, oversees the transition team.
Joy has a diverse background. As an undergraduate, she studied at the Sorbonne in Paris for three years, becoming not just fluent in French, but when conversing is indistinguishable from a native Parisian (Joy also speaks basic Spanish). Upon returning to the US, she completed her formal education, getting Master’s Degrees in Economics and Public Policy from the University of Michigan. After working in corporate America for a number of years, she left that world to pursue her passion in the arts, and has recently completed production on a documentary film.
Joy is an advocate for patient centered health care and reviews grants and serves as a mentor for PCORI, a patient centered outcomes research institute in Washington DC.
Joy is compassionate, caring and serves as a patient advocate in Dr. Bruck’s practice. She keeps things organized, growing, and financially sound. She is there for the patients, the staff, and for Dr. Bruck.
